TTViewer - Font Viewer

TTViewer comes in handy when you'd like to print a short list of fonts. After choosing File/Font Folder select directory containing TrueType fonts. TTViewer scans selected folder and it's subfolders and adds found fonts to the list (number of fonts is limited to about 600 under Win 9x). Built list contains installed fonts plus any found in the selected directory.

FontView

The package consists of two programs: FontView can show all installed fonts in one window. It makes it possible to see which fonts look the same and could be erased. All fonts in Windows take up memory and disk space, and there is no reason to have the same font installed under different names... CharMap can show all characters in a font and copy characters to the clipboard, just as the character map program supplied with Windows. The difference is that in this program you can also adjust the size of the characters displayed so that you can actually see them. The characters displayed in Windows Character map are sometimes too small for distinguishing details.

BestFonts

BestFonts is an small freeware utility that help you to preview installed fonts, organize fonts in font groups, send font files on e-mail, pack fonts in zip archive. This utility is very useful if you wish to choose which font apply for text. Suppose you want to make a web banner, and wrote some advertising information on it. Of course, you want to select a good font for this text, so with Protaxis BestFonts you can select more than one font at once, make a font group for best fonts you found, and select font from this group. This is much more faster then in any other software. Unique feature of this software is font actions. You just select fonts from installed fonts list, and then you can mail or save font files with just one click. You don't need to manually search for font files. With built-in zip archive support, you can zip font files before this actions. Also, you always see total size of font files you select.

FontMan

How many fonts do you have installed? Often the answer is hundreds and a lot of time is spent, searching for the right one. With this program you can group and search for fonts on characteristics.

FontList

If you design something and you are looking for the right font, it can take a lot of time. In word processing, DTP and (web)design programs, you can often only select one font at a time. Finding the right font often means searching through all your fonts.
With FontList, you can create a HTML file that will show all the fonts installed on your computer. With your browser, you can pick the right font in no time.
Using FontList, you can change the predefined sample text, exclude seldom used fonts from the list and change the path for the HTML file.
In your browser, you can change the style of a font and zoom in on a font. You can also view the character map of a font. And, for some, maybe the most important feature, you can create a print out of all your fonts. FontList is freeware.

FontPage

FontPage lets you examine and compare all of the fonts on your system. You can view any typeface in bold, italic, underline and also 3D. In addition, you can also compare two selected fonts and preview fonts that are not yet installed on your system. FontPage can also print a sample page for selected fonts or print a list of all installed fonts.
